This cookware retailer will be opening at the King of Prussia Town Center

The King of Prussia Town Center, located in the Village at Valley Forge, has stores like Nordstrom Rack and Ultam, restaurants like Fogo de Chao and Honeygrow, and service-centered retailers like Hair Cuttery near the LA Fitness.

Williams-Sonoma, the San Francisco-based cookware and home furnishing retailer, said that it plans to open a store in the King of Prussia Town Center this winter.

The King of Prussia Town Center, located in the Village at Valley Forge, has such stores as Nordstrom Rack and Ulta Beauty, such restaurants as Fogo de Chão and Honeygrow, and such service-centered retailers as Hair Cuttery near the LA Fitness.

The town center is one example of developers and business owners hoping to bring the downtown city experience to suburban life. There’s live music, movie showings on the green space, and fitness events. The center is often so popular with shoppers that it’s difficult to find an open parking space, as columnist Maria Panaritis described in April.

Real estate investment firm CBRE Global Investors, which announced its newly executed lease with Williams-Sonoma, said the company will be in a 6,000-square-foot space across from the Wegmans and District Taco, with plans to open in the winter of 2020.

Shares of William-Sonoma are up almost 30% so far this year, to $64.15 as of Friday. The company saw its revenue increase about 7% last year to almost $5.7 billion.
