Saturday’s Southeastern Pa. roundup: Seth Lundy’s double-double powers Roman Catholic past Archbishop Carroll (Md.)

Seth Lundy recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Roman Catholic basketball team beat Archbishop Carroll (Maryland), 72-63, on Saturday. Lynn Greer added 16 points, six rebounds and three assists. Hakim Hart and Jalen Duren had 15 points apiece.

Jack Forrest received MVP honors and scored 26 points to help Lower Merion defeat McDowell, 76-68, in the Marsha Marsh Classic. Steve Payne, who added 16 points, was named to the All-Tournament team along with Forrest.

Germantown Academy rolled past Souderton, 63-43. Jordan Longino scored 33 points, and Zach Anderson added 15.

Christian Ray won tournament MVP honors as the Haverford School topped St. Paul, 71-53, to win the Don McBride Classic. Ray recorded 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Derrik Cosenza scored as time expired to help William Tennent beat Lower Moreland, 66-65. He finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

West Catholic lost to Sankofa Freedom, 57-51. Derrius Ward scored 15, and Scott Spann added 13.

Rashaad Fairnot led Prep Charter with nine points in a 67-50 victory over KIPP DuBois. Tymir Randall notched eight points.

Archbishop Ryan edged Penn Charter. 62-60, to win the Enable Sports & Fitness Invitational. Gediminas Mokseckas scored 17 points and Amin Bryant recorded four points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.

Ronnie Ellis scored 20 points as the Phelps School beat Lake Forest Academy, 63-58. Malik Slay tallied 14 and Nedas Nacickas had 11.

Mastery North topped String Theory, 82-49, behind Lakeem McAliley’s 17 points. Jamir Reed added 15 points and Steve Cromartie recorded seven points and six assists.

Shaun Doyle and Cyrus Grimes scored 19 points apiece as Mercy Career Tech beat MaST Charter, 57-53.

Calvary Christian defeated Conwell-Egan, 35-24. Jay Winterstein scored 15 points.

Markus Bradley-Lowry scored 26 points, including 8-for-13 on 3-pointers, as Harriton beat Motivation, 84-48. Michael Stewart tallied eight points, five rebounds and five assists. Lance Chestnut had nine points and 10 rebounds.

Girls' Basketball

Camryn Harvie earned MVP honors in the FSS Invitational as Friends' Select beat MaST Charter in the championship, 49-27. Harvie scored 18 points and recorded a double-double in both games.

Jasmine Forrester tallied 14 points, six assists and five steals in Upper Darby’s 68-26 win over Glasgow. Gabby Liberio had 14 points and six steals.

Westtown defeated Penn Charter, 51-43, to win the Enable Sports & Fitness tournament championship. Amaya Douglas scored 21 points and JoJo Lacey added 15.

Archbishop Ryan edged Bishop Shanahan, 50-36. Monee Moore scored 13 points and Tori Nigro added 12.

Clare Meyer received MVP honors and scored 12 points as Germantown Friends beat Parkway Northwest, 46-24, to win the Germantown Community Tournament. Martina Kiewek chipped in 15 points and Desiree Norwood added 11.

Ameerah Green’s 28 points and five steals led Phoenixville to a 56-29 victory over Chester in the Phoenixville Tip-Off tournament. Aubrie Briesblatt recorded nine points, five rebounds and three steals.

Sarah Eskew and Jackie Vargas scored 13 points apiece as Upper Dublin beat Central Bucks East, 50-38. Dayna Balasa and Kara Grebe each added 10 points.
