Atlantic City’s Ovation Hall announces partnership with Franklin Music Hall owners the Bowery Presents

The new partnership starts bringing acts to Atlantic City in February.

The Ocean Resort Casino’s Ovation Hall in Atlantic City will feature appearances from country stars Brooks & Dunn, comedian Frank Caliendo, singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins, and others in 2019, thanks to a booking agreement with new Franklin Music Hall owners The Bowery Presents/AEG.

“We are excited about our partnership with The Bowery Presents/AEG,” AC Ocean Walk, LLC chairman Bruce Deifik said via a release. “Being able to combine their experience and expertise in the world of entertainment with the extraordinary venue that is Ovation Hall will allow Ocean Resort Casino to offer our guests and visitors a superior entertainment experience.”

That experience kicks off Feb. 8 with a performance from singer-songwriter Lee Brice, followed by appearances from Brian McKnight, The Isley Brothers, and 38 Special throughout the month. Other performances announced for 2019 include The Monkees (March 2), Jethro Tull, and comedian Tom Segura. Tickets for most shows go on sale Friday via Ticketmaster, but tickets for McKnight, the Monkees and Segura are on sale now.

The Bowery Presents’ deal with Ovation Hall is the company’s latest in the area, after purchasing the former Electric Factory earlier this year from former owners Larry Magid and Adam Spivak for an undisclosed sum. Now dubbed Franklin Music Hall, the venue was previously renamed North Seventh following its sale in September. Now, the venue is preparing to welcome acts like the Wu-Tang Clan, Action Bronson, and Citizen Cope in the New Year.

Live Nation’s The Met Philadelphia, Philly’s newest music venue, meanwhile, opened this month with a performance from Bob Dylan, which Inquirer music critic Dan DeLuca “among the strongest I’ve seen in 30 years of Dylan-going.” Upcoming performances at that venue include shows from comedian John Oliver, Philly’s own Boyz II men, and singer Mariah Carey.
