Baseball: Miller named Penn Charter's head coach

Penn Charter has announced David Miller as its new head baseball coach. He was an assistant with the Quakers last season.

Miller played baseball at Chestnut Hill Academy, Clemson, and in the minor leagues for the Indians, Phillies, Braves, Reds, and Pirates organizations. He was a first baseman and outfielder.

A small business owner, he coached collegiately at William and Mary, Villanova, Rutgers–Camden, and Hawaii.

At Clemson, Miller was a captain and earned first-team Atlantic Coast Conference and all-American honors. In 1995's first-year player draft, he was tabbed in the first round by the Indians.
