WATCH: Comic Hannibal Buress assails Bill Cosby as a rapist during Philly show

The comedian went off on a rant about sexual allegations against the legendary Cos.

**DISCLAIMER: Video contains strong language.**

Did you catch Hannibal Buress's standup set at the Trocadero last week? You'd probably remember if you'd been there. Because the rising comic took some time in the middle of his Philly show to aggressively go after one of the city's legends, Bill Cosby, repeatedly accusing the TV icon of being a rapist.

The majority of Buress's diatribe can be seen in the rough video above. Warning: The profanity is pretty thick, making the clip NSFW.

Buress raked Cosby, 77, for his righteous image, accusing him of hypocrisy.

"Bill Cosby has the [freaking] smuggest old black man public persona that I hate. 'Pull your pants up, black people. I was on TV in the '80s. I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom'. Yeah, but you raped women, Bill Cosby. So, brings you down a couple notches," Buress said during his act. "'I don't curse on stage.' Well, yeah, you're a rapist, so…"

A woman had sued Cosby, accusing him of drugging and raping her in 2004. Reportedly 13 other women were prepared to testify that they had been victimized in a similar way by the sitcom star. The lawsuit was settled out of court in 2006. Cosby has never been charged with a crime.

Buress addressed the resulting firestorm his comments created on the Howard Stern Show this morning.

Warning: This audio tape also contains strong language.

As you'll see in the clip, Buress, known for his parts on edgy programs like The Eric Andre Show and Broad City, says, "I want to just at least make it weird for you to watch Cosby Show reruns."

Well, if that was the aim, Hannibal, you may have fired off more ammunition than was needed.

FYI, Cosby is scheduled to perform at historic Carnegie Hall in a couple of weeks.
