Cops: Thanks to tips, SEPTA groper's off the street

Some crimes are too sick for Philly's notorious "no snitching" culture to let them go, and Henry Dixon just learned that the hard way.

Cops just announced that Dixon, accused of indecently assaulting a 19-year-old girl on a SEPTA bus in Germantown last month then following her off the bus and trying to rape her in an alley, was picked up and charged in the assault yesterday.

His arrest, police said, was a result of numerous anonymous tips called in after they released surveillance video from a camera on the Route K bus showing the man. Several citizens, cops said, identified the man in the video as Dixon, of Haines Street near Boyer in East Germantown.

Check out his cringe-worthy docket sheet for the crime, which lists all the charges he's now facing, here. According to court records, Dixon has been arrested several times since the 1970s for offenses ranging from harassment to theft. A judge set his bail at $500,000 on Wednesday.
