Doylestown native Pink (Alecia Moore), 37, will kick off Atlantic City's 2017 Beachfest concert series this summer with what is her only scheduled performance on the East Coast for the season.

The "So What" hitmaker will open the Beachfest concert series Wednesday, July 12 on Atlantic City Beach. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, May 5 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. American Express cardholders will have access to a pre-sale beginning this Friday at 10 a.m.

Additional performers for this year's Beachfest concert series have not yet been announced. However, 2016's run featured performers such as Jimmy Buffett, Maroon 5, and Blake Shelton, among others.

Casino Reinvestment Development Authority executive director Christopher M. Howard called Pink's upcoming performance proof that "efforts by the Christie Administration to reinvigorate Atlantic City's Economy are paying off."

"The State and CRDA continue to work to redefine Atlantic City from a gaming destination to an entertainment venue," he added.

Pink's upcoming performance will be her first in the area since giving birth to her second child, Jameson Moon Hart, in December last year. The singer is also currently training for a 100-mile bicycle ride in support of No Kid Hungry, as she recently announced on Instagram.
