Jim Panagos, known as a top recruiter during his time as an assistant at Rutgers from 2012-2015, will be hired as defensive line coach for Temple according to a source.

Elijah Robinson, who was the Temple defensive line coach and could have stayed, will be joining Matt Rhule at Baylor, according to the source.

Panagos, 45, was a defensive consultant for the University of Pittsburgh this past season.

Before coaching the defensive line at Rutgers he was  the defensive line coach at Central Florida from 2007-2011. From 2002-2003 through 2004-05 he served as an assistant with the Minnesota Vikings, beginning as a quality control assistant and eventually becoming assistant defensive line/special teams.  He was also a former high school assistant coach.

Panagos is a 1993 graduate of Maryland, where he was a two-year letter man as a defensive lineman and led the team in with five sacks and 12 tackles for loss as a senior during the 1992 season.
