Guppy's looks for a mid-July opening in South Philadelphia

Guppy's Good Times, a neighborhood bar in Conshohocken, is finally preparing to spawn its second location.

Owner Robin Gupta said he was targeting mid-July for its opening at the corner of Eighth and Fitzwater Streets in Bella Vista.

The location most recently was La Casa de Tu Madre after a spell as Growlers.

Gupta says this Guppy's – which will take advantage of the building's charm – will serve elevated bar food and will offer a Bloody Mary bar. Guppy's also offers a "Feeding America" burger as a fund-raiser for the nonprofit.

He plans to offer acoustic music, including a jazz night once a week, but no DJs "because this is a residential neighborhood."
