Snap Custom Pizza to open in State College

Snap recently opened its eighth location in the region, going into Bala Cynwyd.

Philadelphia's homegrown Snap Custom Pizza has added Location No. 8, taking a spot in Bala Cynwyd Shopping Center (39 E. City Ave.).

The choose-your-toppings chain also signed a deal this week to feed hungry Nittany Lions in State College, Pa.

In late summer, Snap will take over the landmark Herwig's Austrian Bistro, whose last day after 16 years will be May 25. Snap has a branch at the University of Delaware in Newark, hence the college play.

The Penn State location will serve only pizza, not salads.
