SPiN, the ping-pong lounge, is open

SPiN, at 15th and Walnut Streets, is outfitted with 17 Olympic-style tables, private lounges, and a bar serving beer, wine, and cocktails.

Friday, Sept. 15 is the scheduled launch of SPiN, the high-energy ping-pong lounge, at 211 S. 15th St., the basement of the building that houses the Cheesecake Factory at 15th and Walnut Streets in Center City. (You'll enter on 15th Street near Chancellor, through a door linking Verizon, WeWork, and &Pizza.)

SPiN is outfitted with 17 Olympic-style tables, private lounges, and a bar serving beer, wine, and cocktails. Food menu includes sliders, flatbreads, pastrami tots, a signature burger topped with brown-sugar bacon, and various wings.

Sept. 15's grand-opening party (9 p.m. to 2 a.m.) will be hosted by the Sixers' Robert Covington, rapper Schoolly D, and DJ Royale.

Hours will be 5 to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, 11 a.m to 2 a.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Prices to play are $22 for a half-hour, $39 an hour; tables can be reserved for $59 an hour.
