For folk art: One of the area's museums featuring Fraktur pieces, the Mercer Museum's (84 S. Pine St., Doylestown) exhibit focuses on the Pennsylvania-German color drawings that were created in Bucks County. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For grown-up show and tell: Local Cambodian test kitchen offering vegan fish sauces and cooking classes, Koliyan, will come to CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia (1315 Walnut St.) for Maker Monday, where they'll share their history and a few dishes. Listen to the chat, starting at 5 p.m., and try Somlaw Kokoe, a Cambodian stew, and Num Treap, sweet sticky rice bites.

For dinner: Five courses of German delicacies will be paired with regionally appropriate wines (read: from Germany) at Azie on Main (789 E. Lancaster Ave., Villanova) tonight starting at 7 p.m. Courses include Bavarian Bier Wuerstchen braised beef and onion stuffed cabbage and Pork Schnitzel egg spaetzel and cured red cabbage. For a Black History Month commemoration: "Partway to Freedom," a new opera from Pennsylvania composer Cynthia Cozette paints a verbal picture of the services of African Americans during the Civil War. Hear portions of the opera at the Free Library of Philadelphia's Central Branch (1901 Vine St.) starting at 7 p.m., followed by a talk on the Civil War.

For a mystery: Focused on collaboration, The Buddy System is a monthly event at Johnny Brenda's (1201 N. Frankford Ave.) curated by DJ and producer King Britt and composer and producer HPrizm. The catch is, no one knows who's playing until you get there. Take a chance — doors open at 7:30 p.m.
