Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Philadelphia, has named Nancy G. Hesse president and CEO of its Eastern Regional Medical Center in Philadelphia. She had served as interim president and CEO since February, and before that was chief nursing executive for CTCA and chief nursing officer at Eastern.

Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Philadelphia, has named Nancy G. Hesse president and CEO of its Eastern Regional Medical Center in Philadelphia. She had served as interim president and CEO since February, and before that was chief nursing executive for CTCA and chief nursing officer at Eastern.

Tompkins VIST Bank, Wyomissing, Pa., has hired Mark DeYoung as manager of the Wayne/Strafford branch. He had been vice president of business development at Sun East Federal Credit Union.

Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP, Philadelphia, has hired Stuart J. Wolf as an associate in the firm's medical malpractice group. Wolf had been an associate at Edelstein Law.

Ari S. Indik and Joseph P. Mathew have joined Volpe & Koenig P.C., Philadelphia, as associates. Indik had been an associate at White & Williams LLP, Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP, Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, and Baker & Hostetler LLP. Mathew, who had been a law clerk and technical advisor at Volpe & Koenig, earned his law degree from Temple University and his bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering from Drexel University.

Kang Haggerty & Fetbroyt LLC, a business litigation firm with offices in Philadelphia and Cherry Hill, has hired Jason Guss and David Scott as associates. Guss had been a state and local tax associate at Grant Thornton. Scott had been a law clerk for Senior Judge Michael F.X. Coll on Delaware County Court.

Pennsylvania Trust, Radnor, has promoted Monica P. Ruggio to senior vice president, operations, from vice president, operations; J. August Gerhardt to vice president, portfolio management, from senior investment officer, portfolio management; and Lucas J. Saunders to vice president, marketing and client development, from senior technology officer, information technology.

Tmunity Therapeutics Inc., a Philadelphia firm, cofounded by the University of Pennsylvania, the Perelman School of Medicine at Penn, and the University of Pennsylvania Health System, that is focused on the immunological potential of T cells to treat a wide range of diseases, has hired Usman "Oz" Azam as president and CEO. A veteran life sciences executive, Azam had been global head of the cell and gene therapies unit at Novartis. Other roles he held at Novartis include head of global medical affairs and HEOR general medicines, chief scientific officer and head of U.S. clinical development and medical affairs, and global head regulatory affairs for the neurosciences and ophthalmic franchise.

Macquarie Group's Delaware Investments, Philadelphia, has appointed John Leonard as head of equities, effective March 3. He will join the firm from UBS Asset Management, where he had been global head of equities.

Yvette A. Núñez has been named vice president of civic affairs at the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia. Núñez, the first Latina to hold a senior leadership role at the chamber, had been chief communications officer for Congreso de Latinos Unidos.

Weichert Real Estate Affiliates Inc., Morris Plains, N.J., has promoted Bill Scavone to president and chief operating officer. He joined Weichert Real Estate Affiliates Inc. in 2005 as the senior vice president of franchise development and took on the role of chief operating officer in 2008.

Kevin F. Ward has been promoted to supervisor of tax accounting in the Philadelphia office of Duane Morris LLP. Also, Angelica DiLorenzo has joined the firm as a tax specialist. DiLorenzo is pursuing her master of accountancy and professional consulting from the Villanova School of Business, as well as her certified public accountant designation.

James P. Thomas has been named vice president and chief operating officer of S.T. Hudson Engineers Inc., a Cherry Hill provider of engineering and consulting service for marine facilities. He had been a vice president for nine years.

The Ravitz Family Foundation, a Cherry Hill nonprofit that assists children and families in need in Burlington and Camden Counties, has named Brett Ravitz president. The foundation was founded in 1996 by ShopRite operators Doris and Stanley Ravitz.

Rajant, a Philadelphia developer of mobile mesh technology for private wireless networks, has hired Geoff Smith as executive vice president of global sales and marketing, and Bernard Taliaferro as channel director. Smith had been managing director of Wave Mobile Solutions and Taliaferro head of distributor management at Ericsson.

Erica Bowyer-Grason has joined Burns & McDonnell as a project manager in Pennsylvania. She will lead environmental permitting projects in the Northeast.

Terri Schaefer has been named communications and publications specialist for Salus University, Elkins Park. She had been communications manager for the Adult Congenital Heart Association. - Mike Zebe
