Candace Embry, an associate in the Philadelphia office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, has been elected secretary of the board of Philadelphia VIP. The nonprofit recruits, trains and supports volunteer lawyers who provide critical legal assistance to low-income Philadelphians.

Esperanza Martinez Neu has been elected chair of Congreso de Latinos Unidos. She had been vice president of community relations, diversity and workplace services at AmerisourceBergen Corp. and executive director of the AmerisourceBergen Foundation.

David Hyman has been named secretary of the board of the of the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development. He is a managing partner at Kleinbard LLC, Philadelphia.

Villanova University has elected the following trustees to its board: Joseph V. Topper Jr., retired president and CEO of CrossAmerica Partners LLP, chair; Justin G. Gmelich, global head of credit trading at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., vice chair; Nance K. Dicciani, cofounder and CEO of RTM Vital Signs LLC, secretary. Kerry Kittles, assistant men's basketball coach at Princeton University and a former Villanova men's basketball All-American and nine-year NBA veteran, was also elected as a board member.

Grayling L. Johnson has joined the board of nonprofit health system Virtua. He is a project executive at Greyhawk.

DNB First NA, Downingtown, has appointed Salvatore M. DeBunda and John E. McGovern to its advisory board. DeBunda is a partner at Archer & Greiner and McGovern is president/founder of John E. McGovern & Associates PC.

The Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia has named the following board members: Chris Jacobs, CEO of Solutions for Progress; Ben Block, marketing and communications manager at Clean Markets; and Melissa Muroff, president of Roofmeadow.

Robert C. Wonderling, president and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, has been appointed chair of the Ursinus College board of trustees.

James R. Selsor Jr., has been named chairman of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce Tax Committee. He is a tax partner with Gunnip & Co., Wilmington.

Symphony in C, the professional training orchestra in Collingswood that prepares musicians and conductors who are on the cusp of careers, has named Robert E. Curley III and Debra Lisker to its board. Curley is the South Jersey market president of TD Bank. Lisker recently retired as a corporate lawyer with Berwind Corp.

The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia elected Jeffrey Dunne, David Hackett and Brady Hooper to its advisory board. Dunne is a principal in the deals-valuation group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Hackett is a shareholder at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC. Hooper is a financial adviser at UBS Financial Services Inc.

Edward Phillips, a partner in the bankruptcy and restructuring group of EisnerAmper LLP, Philadelphia, has been elected president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association.

Sarah A. Eastburn has been elected to the board of the Central Bucks Family YMCA. She is an associate at Eastburn & Gray PC, Doylestown.
