PSEG Solar buys two NC solar facilities for $75M

PSEG Solar Source has acquired two North Carolina solar facilities for $74.6 million from BayWa r.e., a German renewable-energy developer. The two facilities, which can produce up to 47 megawatts of power, are under construction in Halifax, N.C.

The projects are the second and third that PSEG Solar Source has developed in collaboration with BayWa. Virginia Electric and Power Co. has signed a 10-year agreement to purchase the power production from the sites.

PSEG Solar Source now has 21 utility-scale solar facilities in 13 states, including five in North Carolina.
