The Free Library of Philadelphia on Wednesday will launch the Pitch Corner, a new tool for entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and job seekers. It's a semiprivate space in the Parkway Central Library's business center where start-ups can practice and record their pitch in front of a video camera.
Start-up founders and entrepreneurs can analyze and improve their skills after seeing their own business pitch on video. It will also help small business owners with their elevator pitch, nonprofits with their development pitch, and job seekers preparing for commonly asked interview questions or working on pitching themselves and their job skills.
The space inside the Library's Business Resource and Innovation Center offers a video camera and tripod, as well as a large backdrop. Business librarians will be available to help users get started; video will be delivered via Google Drive within 48 hours.
