McKesson Corp., one of the nation's largest drug distributors, told New Jersey regulators that it will close a Delran distribution center at the end of March, eliminating 102 jobs.

In its filing with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Industry, the San Francisco company said it was closing the facility because it lost business from the sale of Rite Aid stores to Walgreens. Union employees at the facility are represented by Warehouse Employees Union Local 169, in Elkins Park, with most employees eligible for two-weeks severance pay per year of service, with a minimum of four weeks and a maximum of 52 weeks, the filing said.

Rite Aid said Monday that it had completed the sale of 625 stores to Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. for $1.3 billion. An additional 1,307 stores are scheduled to be sold.
