Philadelphia officials are scheduled to review a proposal next week for a sprawling complex of 155 dwellings in an industrial section of Kensington at the corner of Lehigh and Frankford Avenues.

The 2035 E. Lehigh Ave. project, planned for a four-acre site between Conrail train tracks and Lehigh Avenue, is to come before the Philadelphia Civic Design Review board Jan. 9, according to the committee's website.

The plan calls for a combination of single-family homes, duplexes and apartments, along with four commercial spaces, a landscaped courtyard, a dog park, and an outdoor fitness area, according to plans posted to the board's website. The plans identify the project's developer as the Riverwards Group.

The Civic Design Review committee makes nonbinding suggestions concerning Philadelphia's biggest development proposals as part of the city's construction-approval process.
