When Lori and Andrew Turner fell in love with their Graduate Hospital home, it was still under construction. The location was enough to convince them.

"We're right on the edge of Graduate Hospital in the heart of Center City," Lori said. "Very close to South Philly, Queen Village, Rittenhouse Square and all the major roadways."

The home is part of The Artisan gated community at 15th and Bainbridge streets.

"We are removed from the hustle and bustle of the loud city nightlife but close enough to partake if we desire," Andrew said.

The advantage of buying new construction in 2008 means the family has not needed to renovate or work on the four-bedroom home since the purchase. It's been nine years, but the couple said the family still enjoys the open floor plan and multiple decks.

"Our favorite part of the house is the open concept kitchen, dining room, living room and outside deck," Lori said.

In addition to the deck off the main living floor, the home also features a roof top deck with skyline views.

"It's one of the greatest assets to this house," Andrew said.

The 3,700-square-foot home also features an extra wide garage that can accommodate up to three cars. The master suite boasts two walk-in closets and an en-suite bathroom with a steam shower.

The couple said The Artisan has offered friendly neighbors and an active homeowners association.

But the family business, Music Monkey Jungle, has taken off recently, and the couple said they've decided now is the time to sell their home.

"We are looking for a home that allows us to better combine our commercial and residential needs," Andrew said.

The property is currently listed with Galit Abramovitz Winokur at Real Estate with Heart for $1,600,000.
