Pennsylvania casino table game revenue up in latest 12 months

Pennsylvania's 12 casinos saw table game revenue rise 3.25 percent in the latest 12 months, while slot machine revenue fell 2.2 percent. Overall, combined gaming revenues were down less than 1 percent.

Pennsylvania table game revenue rose 3.25 percent in the 12 months ended June 30, with the statewide tally $866.5 million, compared to $839.2 million the previous state fiscal year, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said.

Slot machine revenue for 12 Pennsylvania casinos for the 2016-2017 year fell 2.2 percent to $2.33 million, from $2.38 million the previous year. Combined table game and slot machine revenue was $3.20 billion, down just 0.78 percent from last year's record $3.22 billion, the Gaming Board said.

SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia reported 12-month table-game revenue of $118.6 million, an increase from the previous year's $104.9 million, and slot machine revenue of $178.9 million, compared to $177.1 million in the 2015-2016 fiscal year.

Parx Casino in Bensalem reported table game revenue of $170.1 million, compared to $155.1 million the previous year. Slot machine revenue at Parx was $386.6 million, compared to $388.3 million a year earlier.

Harrah's Philadelphia Casino in Chester reported table game revenue of $65.6 million, vs. $67.8 million for the previous 2015-2016 year. Harrah's slot machine revenue was $200.4 million, compared to $215.1 million.

Tax revenue statewide from slot machines and table games combined was $1.4 billion in the latest 12 months, the board said.
