PATCO will suspend sales of tickets at 7 p.m. today, or possibly earlier, due to high demand from riders planning to take the High Speed Line to Philadelphia for Thursday's Eagles Super Bowl parade.

There will be no ticket sales Thursday as planned.

Long lines have been reported at ticket machines at stations that will be open Thursday.

PATCO in the meantime is urging parade-goers to arrive at their departure stations – Lindenwold, Woodcrest, Ferry Avenue, and Broadway – early to ensure they are able to board trains into Philadelphia.

"All ticket and FREEDOM Card holders are reminded that, based on projected crowds, having a ticket does not guarantee service," PATCO said in a statement. "Ticket holders who are unable to board will receive full refunds."

Taking a page from the papal visit playbook, PATCO on Tuesday outlined service for the Eagles' Super Bowl parade that eliminates stops at most stations and will have trains heading to Philadelphia only in the morning and back to South Jersey starting in the afternoon. All morning westbound trains will originate at one of the four open South Jersey stations and operate as express trains into Philadelphia.

Starting at 3 a.m. Thursday,  PATCO will close the Ashland, Haddonfield, Westmont, Collingswood, City Hall, Eighth and Market Streets, 12th/13th and Locust Streets, and 15th/16th and Locust Streets Stations.

From 3:45 to 5:45 a.m. westbound trains will only service the Lindenwold, Woodcrest, Ferry Avenue, Broadway, and 9th/10th and Locust Street Stations. Eastbound trains will stop at those stations from 3:43 until 6:17 a.m.

Starting at about 1:20 p.m. and running until 8 p.m., PATCO will operate eastbound trains only, starting at the  9th/10th and Locust Streets Station and stopping at Broadway, Ferry Avenue, Woodcrest, and Lindenwold stations.
