Prime Suspect: Tennison. The new BBC-produced Masterpiece prequel to the Prime Suspect cop show that made Helen Mirren a star is set in 1973. And like Life on Mars, the time-traveling show named after a David Bowie song that it resembles in its period detail, this Stefani Martin-starring show establishes mise en scene with a heavy dose of pop music of the era, starting with a sound track featuring Blind Faith, Pink Floyd, Roxy Music, and It's a Beautiful Day, among others. 10 p.m. 10 p.m. Sundays on PBS.

Pains of Being Pure of Heart. Heart-on-sleeve indie pop band led by Philadelphia-born, Chicago-raised guitarist Kip Berman who have teased their coming-in-September fourth album, The Echo of Pleasure, with the shimmery love song "When I Dance With You." Sunday at World Cafe Live.

Radiohead, OK Computer OKNOTOK 1997-2017. I prefer Kid A, the 2000 follow-up that exchanged the brainy Brit band's guitar sound for synthesizers and electronics. But this 20th-anniversary reissue of the influential album that firmly established Radiohead as artistes of alienation is a well put together package, expanded with three unreleased tracks and 8 B-sides.

Meet Me in the Bathroom: Rebirth and Rock and Roll in New York City, 2001-2011, by Lizzy Goodman. A lively oral history of the early 21st-century music scenes that produced the Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, the National, TV on the Radio, and LCD Soundsystem among many others, as technology reshaped the music business and the post-9/11 creative center of N.Y.C. moved from libertine Manhattan to nerdy Brooklyn. Dey Street, $26.99.

Boogarins. Psychedelic Brazilian pop band from Goiania led by collaborators Benke Ferraz and Fernando Almeida, who struggled to find an audience for their tropicalia-influenced, sung-in-Portuguese sound but who have won a following around the globe, most recently with their third album, La Vem a Morte. With Groovy Movies and Secret Nudist Friends. Friday at Boot & Saddle.
