This smartly packaged tour playing the Mann Center in Fairmount Park on Wednesday night brings together superb front women from two generations of rock. Seventy-two and still fabulous, Debbie Harry leads Blondie on a more-than-just-nostalgia reunion tour, with a solid new album Pollinator that finds her in excellent shape vocally and enlists songwriting contributions from an array of acolytes — including Sia, Charli XCX, Dave Sitek of TV on The Radio, Nick Valensi of the Strokes and Dev Hynes (also known as Blood Orange) — in approximating the classic Blondie sound.

The band, including Harry's guitarist husband, Chris Stein, and drummer Clem Burke, is joined on what's being billed as the Rage and Rapture Tour by Garbage, featuring charismatic singer Shirley Manson, who leads the "Only Happy When It Rains," bubble-grunge, 1990s hitmaking outfit along with guitarist (and Nirvana producer) Butch Vig. They have been heard from most recently with 2016's assured Strange Little Birds. Up-and-coming L.A. rock duo Deap Vally open.
