President Trump is in town Thursday.
As expected, all kinds of protests are planned while the GOP congressional legislation holds its annual retreat at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel at 12th and Market Streets.
One demonstration alone is expected to draw 3,000 people.
Groups are coming together in solidarity over Trump's proposed repeal of the Affordable Care Act, and threats to immigration and women's rights.
And, if you're with me, his refusal to release his taxes.
Earlier this week, after Trump's senior adviser said he wouldn't release the records because people don't care – despite a White House petition signed by upward of 330,000 people -- I called for a #PeopleCare "Release Your Taxes" gathering.
So meet me at Thomas Paine Plaza around 1 p.m. Hold up a #PeopleCare or #PhillyCares sign so I can find you and we can talk about why you care, or about anything else that is worrying you under our new presidential administration.
Wear your women's march gear, and that includes those pussy hats if you want.
Welcome to Philly, POTUS.
