Lots of new names will be a part of the 2017 Feastival, the annual food event that benefits Fringearts.

On Thursday, Sept. 28, more than 75 restaurants and bars will collaborate with performances from Fringearts, at the company's headquarters at 140 N. Columbus Blvd.

It's also dubbed Year of the Beard, as three chef-restaurateurs — Michael Solomonov, Stephen Starr, and Greg Vernick — won major James Beard Foundation awards in May. Feastival cofounder Audrey Claire Taichman also is a host, as is Nicholas Elmi, owner of Laurel and In The Valley.

Among new participating restaurants are A Mano, Townsend Wentz's Italian BYOB in Fairmount, as well as his Spanish restaurant Oloroso; Autograph Brasserie, in Wayne; Bar Amis, Marc Vetri's Italian bar at the Navy Yard; Double Knot, Michael Schulson's Japanese restaurant in Center City; Fond, an American restaurant on East Passyunk Avenue; Friday Saturday Sunday, chef Chad Williams' destination in Rittenhouse; In the Valley (ITV), Nick Elmi's bistro next to Laurel; Kanella South, the rustic-style Greek-Cypriot restaurant by chef-owner Konstantinos Pitsillides; Mission Taqueria, the Mexican restaurant over Oyster House; Poi Dog Snack Shop, the Hawaiian street-food restaurant; Royal Izakaya, the Japanese pub/sushi bar by James Beard semifinalist, Jesse Ito; and Walnut Street Café, the all-day restaurant at FMC Tower in Cira Centre South.

Tickets are $300 per person (7-10 p.m.), $450 for the extra hour (6-10 p.m.).
