True-crime parody stars John Lithgow as a poetry professor accused of murdering his wife and Nicholas D'Agosto (Gotham) as the eager young New York lawyer dispatched to a small Southern town to defend him. Did I mention it's a comedy? Premieres with back-to-back episodes at 10 p.m. Tuesday on NBC, moving to 9 and 9:30 p.m. the following week.

Greenleaf. Second-season premiere of the drama about a family-run megachurch in crisis features recurring guest star Oprah Winfrey playing drunk, and Lynn Whitfield, who plays the Winfrey character's sister, firing on all cylinders. 10 p.m. Wednesday, OWN.

Hap and Leonard. James Purefoy and Michael Kenneth Williams return for a second season as, yes, Hap and Leonard, odd-couple friends whose characters come from the novels of Joe R. Lansdale. 10 p.m. Wednesday, SundanceTV.

Superstore. Star America Ferrera directed this episode, which reunited her with Ugly Betty costar Tony Plana, once again playing her father. 8 p.m. Thursday, NBC.
