Your favorite Philly date/stroll spot Spruce Street Harbor Park returns on May 12. Best part? There will be more hammocks.
The park's opening will feature weekend-long programming.
On the opening day, the park opens at 11 a.m., but activities begin at 5 p.m., with live music, crafts from the Clay Studio, a chance to win cash and prizes and a live set by DJ King Britt starting at 7 p.m. That Saturday, there will be an aerial routine and tightrope performance by Philly Circus and a magic show by Randy Shine. The night ends with a performance by musician and producer Son Little. The opening weekend ends with Caribbean flair: steel drum group Trinidelphia will be performing.
The season also includes Second Sunday Cinema Series, featuring a classic TV show or movie. It kicks off May 14 with The Patty Duke Show and ends in September. Waterfront Sessions Live Music Series returns every Thursday featuring local talent from June to September. Art Star Pop-Up Market on Saturdays from 10am-2pm.
The park has doubled the amount of hammocks with now 50 for people to chillax in during the summer months.
