Tickets to Opera Philadelphia's 8th annual free Opera on the Mall broadcast are available starting today, Wednesday, at 10 a.m.

This year's broadcast on Independence Mall, slated for Sept. 29 at 7 p.m., is We Shall Not Be Moved, by composer Daniel Bernard Roumain, librettist Marc Bamuthi Joseph, and director Bill T. Jones. The work, premiered at last year's O17 opera festival, uses the city's 1985 bombing of the MOVE compound in West Philadelphia as a starting point for an exploration of race, injustice, gender, and other issues.

The opera, which contains some strong language and violence, is not recommended for children under age 14.

Tickets may be reserved at www.operaonthemall.org or 215-732-8400.
