WHEN YOU'RE a member of a family famous for reality TV and making millions of dollars off merely being famous, what better way to celebrate a big birthday than by rubbing everybody else's nose in it.

Kylie Jenner, another one of those dark-haired, blank-eyed Kardashian/Jenners, celebrated her Sweet 16 with a party so sweet it's amazing guests didn't leave in a sugar coma.

E! News says the shindig was held at the AT&T Center in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday night, with Kylie, in a black leather Thierry Mugler skirt and a black Nicholas tank top, dancing the night away with 200 of her nearest and dearest, including Hailee Steinfeld, Tyga, Willow Smith and Jaden Smith.

The party, E! said, had an Alice in Wonderland theme (perhaps an ironic commentary on the nation falling down the reality-TV rabbit hole), complete with a Dylan's Candy bar and giant mushrooms, as well as a custom cake.

It also had a performance from Drake and Big Sean.

Khloé Kardashian Odom, Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick and Kendall Jenner were all there for Kylie, but Kim K (who appeared via video) stayed at home overseeing her platoon of nannies caring for baby North. Kylie's parents, Bruce and Kris Jenner, arrived (no joke) with a tiny pig on a leash.

How appropriate.

An anonymous guest told E! News that Kylie "had the time of her life. It was everything she hoped it would be."

Since Kylie already has everything, guests were asked to bring an unwrapped toy for LA Children's Hospital.

Goodie bags for those lucky enough to receive an invite included headphones, iPod speakers, Kardashian Beauty makeup and jewelry from Kylie and Kendall's PacSun and Metal Haven jewelry line.

This begs us to ask the question we ask every time we write one of these items: Instead of giving headphones, iPod speakers and makeup to people who must have more headphones, iPod speakers and makeup than they could ever use (poor Jaden Smith has no way to listen to his MP3s), why not take those 200 goodie bags over to LA Children's Hospital?

TATTBITS

* The promoter of four Chris Brown concerts in Canada scheduled this summer says the events have been canceled.

Stephen Tobin, owner of Drop Entertainment Group, said yesterday that the decision was made after consulting with Brown, in light of his recent personal and health-related issues.

Brown's probation was reinstated Friday after he was involved in an alleged hit-and-run accident. The hit-and-run charge was dismissed earlier.

He also suffered a seizure earlier this month.

Brown's publicist, Nicole Perna, said he regrets that he won't be able to perform.

Aretha Franklin will not attend a baseball luncheon during which she was to receive an honor for contributions to civil rights.

Aretha, 71, has already canceled several concerts recently because of undisclosed health reasons. In a statement issued yesterday by Major League Baseball, Aretha referred to ongoing "treatment" that prevented her from traveling. She lives in the Detroit area; the luncheon is being held in Chicago on Saturday.

Aretha and former baseball star Bo Jackson were to be presented "Beacon" awards, which in previous years have been given to Willie Mays and Harry Belafonte, among others.

To the best of Tattle's knowledge, Aretha's health issues do not involve the Biogenesis PED scandal.

* The Coen brothers and T Bone Burnett will celebrate the folk music of their 1960s Greenwich Village comic-drama "Inside Llewyn Davis" with a concert in New York.

The filmmakers announced yesterday that they will host a concert Sept. 29 at New York's Town Hall. Performing will be Joan Baez, Marcus Mumford, Patti Smith, Jack White, Colin Meloy and others.

Several of the film's stars will also perform, including Oscar Isaac, who plays a folk singer struggling to make it in pre-Bob Dylan New York. The film, with music supervised by Burnett, opens Dec. 6.

A portion of the concert proceeds will benefit the National Recording Preservation Foundation, which seeks to archive and preserve America's musical heritage.

John Goodman was awarded an honorary doctorate degree of humane letters Sunday during the convocation at Missouri State University. He graduated from the school with a fine-arts degree in 1975.

In June, Goodman received a degree from "Monsters University."

* The police department of Fairfield, Conn., wants people to know that missing your favorite show isn't an emergency.

Fairfield police say that they received numerous 9-1-1 calls about a cable outage that hit parts of southwestern Connecticut on Sunday night.

The message on the department's Facebook page says the outage is "neither an emergency or a police related concern."

The post warns that 9-1-1 should be used for life-threatening emergencies only and that misuse of the 9-1-1 system may result in an arrest.

But officer, it's the final season of "Breaking Bad."
