Rebekah "Bex" Maroun, host at Entercom's 96.5 TDY is leaving Philly for Boston, where she will work as executive producer and co-host on WXKS Kiss 108's Matty in the Morning, the station announced this week.

Maroun will join the iHeartMedia Boston-owned station starting Oct. 1, host Matt Siegel announced via the Kiss 108 website. She replaces former Matty in the Morning on-air personality Medha Gandhi, who left Kiss 108 earlier this month for the Elvis Duran & The Morning Show, a syndicated program that airs locally at 6 a.m. on fellow iHeartMedia station Q102.

Bex will also work as a producer on The Weekend Throwdown with Jagger, a syndicated iHeartMedia program that does not air locally, Media Confidential reports.

"Thanks to my Philly family for the amazing run as well as iHeartMedia Boston for the incredible opportunity," Bex said via a statement. "I'm thrilled to return to iHeartMedia and ready to call Boston my home."

[long post ahead... ] Today is my last day on air in Philadelphia!! For the past 6 years I have walked into this exact studio and lived out my wildest dreams! I remember when I was still in school trying to figure out what I wanted to do — I told @yourgirlmarlow that I didn’t think I had what it took to be on the air. She told me to get my ass in the studio and work on my air check. So, I did. It was the same air check I sent to @danhuntradio & @fmbuster in Philadelphia and I am so grateful to the two of them for giving me my first shot on the air — in a top 10 market as a complete rookie! From starting off doing the graveyard weekend shift from 11p-4a to doing mornings with the Big Philly Show — it has been such a privilege!!. Through 3 corporate changes, 4 station rebrands & numerous format flip — I was lucky enough to keep my job while growing in the market working with @mikencue & @ikereese58 on Sports Radio WIP, entertainment reporting on KYW, podcasting with @melonyroy (our Podcast will forever have the best name haha bed, bath and Beyonce) and even launching my own TV segment on @cbsphilly (thanks for all our pow wows @dftracy). I will forever be grateful for everything I’ve learned, the friends I’ve made, meeting my amazing significant friend & finding Sonic!! I loved every minute... This change is scary but I am sooooo ready & excited for it!! Thank you Philly! I love you. <3 <3 PS this is a very happy post — because I’m so excited where I’m going next…. post to follow… :) (because I’m here for the likes) hahahah

Bex joins Kiss 108 following a stint at 96.5 TDY, where she worked as an on-air personality and morning producer. In addition to her duties at that station, Bex also worked as an entertainment reporter for KYW News Radio, and launched CBS3's "The Hot Minute" entertainment news segment. As Bex wrote in a post on Instagram, she spent a total of six years in Philadelphia media.

"This change is scary but I am sooooo ready & excited for it," Bex wrote. "Thank you Philly! I love you."
