The actress Aubrey Plaza was in town for her father's wedding over the weekend — but it wasn't in South Philadelphia, as the Legion star said in a recent appearance on Conan.

As the Wilmington native told Conan O'Brien on Monday, her dad, David, tied the knot with  Mihaela Ghetau in Philadelphia on Saturday. Prior to her appearance, Plaza posted a photo of herself with her father and sisters Renee and Natalie as "groomswomen" at the wedding:

"So this is just your typical wedding portrait," the Parks and Recreation star told O'Brien of the photo. "That's me and my sisters. We were groomswomen. We stood on my dad's side and we wore suits, and my middle sister Natalie was the best man."

While Plaza told O'Brien that the wedding took place in South Philadelphia (as the Instagram post is tagged), it appears to have taken place at the Union League in Center City. Photos of the wedding from photographer Kelli Wilke are tagged as having been at the Union League, while a separate Instagram post from sister Renee is tagged with a Center City Ritz-Carlton marker:

Maybe we shouldn't expect non-Philly natives/celebrities to know South Philly from Center City, but that's sort of like the difference between a cheesesteak and a steak sandwich. Plaza spent time in Philadelphia in her youth, training at ComedySportz and driving up I-95 to see her Northeast Philly-dwelling grandparents. However, Parks and Recreation's April Ludgate is one of the best characters in modern television history, so no hard feelings.

"It was a blast," Plaza said of the wedding. "My family loves to party, and that's what we did all night long."

Plaza will next appear on the big screen in The Little Hours, a comedy about medieval nuns, opening July 7 in Philadelphia. As the actress told Conan on Monday, that film has already caused some controversy: The Catholic League is calling the film "pure trash."
