One particularly victorious microbiologist from Berwyn will return to Jeopardy! next month for the highly anticipated Tournament of Champions, which pits the top-winning contestants from the trivia show's two most recent seasons against one another for cash prizes.

Beginning Nov. 6, the tournament this year features 15 contestants overall, one of which is Berwyn's Lisa Schlitt, who appeared on Jeopardy! in January, winning a total of six games for $139,100 in prize money, according to a release — the sixth-highest winnings of all the TOC contestants.

A native of Long Island, New York, Schlitt moved to Berwyn in 2015 to be closer to family, Mainline Media News reports. Currently, Schlitt works as a research scientist for the New Jersey Department of Health. She earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Cornell in 2007, and a master's degree in plant pathology from Rutgers in 2013, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Schlitt will face off against other Jeopardy! winners including Seth Wilson and Austin Rogers, two of season 33 and 34's top-winning contestants. Both Wilson and Rogers won 12 games straight during their runs, but Rogers took home $411,000 to Wilson's $265,002.

The tournament itself will run for two weeks beginning Nov. 6, and will conclude with a two-day airing in Nov. 16 and 17. The first place winner will receive $250,000, while second takes $100,00, and third earns $50,000.
