Summer is in full swing, and many are looking forward to the Fourth of July celebration. Whether you are down the shore or barbecuing with family and friends, we have your guide to community days, parades, and fireworks celebrations all week long in the Philadelphia area. Heads up: Check with your local municipality to be sure the festive events will be going on as scheduled.

PENNSYLVANIA

Fourth of July

Clifton Heights: Celebration at Clifton Heights Athletic Field (Springfield Road and Sycamore Avenue), with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Downingtown: Good Neighbor Day with races, rides, and fireworks at dusk in Kerr Park (Park Lane, Downingtown).

Lancaster: $15 gets you admission to the activities at Lititz Spring Park (24 N. Broad St., Lititz), including a kids' zone, a time-capsule dedication, and comedy, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Fireworks start at 10:10 p.m., preceded by a dance party.

Lansdowne: Independence Day celebration with parade, prizes, games. Then fireworks at 9 p.m., all at Penn Wood High School (100 Green Ave., Lansdowne).

Limerick: At Waltz Golf Farm (303 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick), come early for festivities, including food vendors and mini-golf, and stay for fireworks at dusk.

Lower Providence Township: Fourth of July Celebration at Eagleville Park (100 Parklane Dr., Norristown) begins at 6 p.m., with fireworks at 9:20 p.m.

Narberth: Fourth of July Celebration at Narberth Playground (100 Conway Ave.). A carnival takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Norristown: Independence Day at Elmwood Park (1325 Harding Blvd., Norristown) includes kids' activities, live entertainment, and food trucks. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

Philadelphia: Wawa Welcome America! Philadelphia Parade at 11 a.m. and Fireworks on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway at 9:30 p.m., preceded by a concert headlined by Mary J Blige.  At the same time, at Camden's Wiggins Park, fireworks with a different sound track than the Parkway extravaganza, can be viewed from the Delaware Riverfront. Lawncrest will also offer their fireworks display at the Lawncrest Rec Center (6000 Rising Sun Ave.) that's preceded by a parade and activities during the day.

Quakertown: Community Day and Fireworks in Memorial Park (Mill Street). Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

Radnor: Fourth of July Fireworks with music, food, and games at Radnor High School (130 King of Prussia Rd., Radnor). Gates open at 6:30 p.m., fireworks at dusk. Donate $10 for adults and $5 for kids (with a $20 group rate) for entry to the grounds.

Skippack: Parade and Fireworks in Skippack Village. Fireworks at Palmer Park (between Heckler and Creamery Roads).

Southampton: Southampton Days (1255 Second Street Pike, Southampton) will include a baby parade (8:30 a.m.), Fourth of July parade 9:30-11:30 a.m.), and live entertainment. Fireworks begin at 9:35 p.m.

Tredyffrin Township: At Wilson Farm Park (500 Lee Rd., Chesterbrook), the West Chester Community Concert Band will play from 7 to 9 p.m., and then fireworks will start at dusk.

Upper Merion Township: At Heuser Park (694 W. Beidler Rd., King of Prussia), festivities will include carnival rides and live entertainment as well as fireworks at dusk.

Thursday, July 6

Philadelphia: Fireworks begin after the Phillies take on the Pittsburgh Pirates at Citizens Bank Park.

Friday, July 7

Ambler: Ambler Kiwanis Fourth of July at Wissahickon High School (521 Houston Rd.) begins at dusk. A carnival is also running July Fourth to July 8.

Philadelphia: At Citizens Bank Park, fireworks begin after the Phillies take on the San Diego Padres.

Saturday, July 8

Lower Pottsgrove Township: Norco Fair and Fireworks (Route 724, east of the Coventry Mall, Pottstown). The fair runs July 3-8, with fireworks at 10:30 p.m. July 8.

Sunday, July 9

Perkasie: Pennridge Community Day at Lenape Park with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

West Whiteland Township: Concert and Fireworks at Exton Park (800 E. Swedesford Rd., Exton). The concert will start at 6:30 p.m. with fireworks following at 9:30 p.m.

NEW JERSEY

Atlantic City: Atlantic City will have two fireworks shows this year. The first will start at 9 p.m. at the Borgata, the second at 10 p.m. at Tropicana.

Camden: Festivities at the Camden Waterfront Fireworks Festival at Wiggins Park begin at 5 p.m., with fireworks at 9:30 p.m., the same time as the Wawa Welcome America Fireworks on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Cape May: Cape May Fireworks, off the beach between Congress Hall and Convention Hall, begin at 9 p.m.

Collingswood: Fireworks, festivities, and live music at Collingswood High School (424 W. Collings Ave., Collingswood). Gates open at 6:30 p.m., with fireworks about 9:15 p.m.

Evesham Township: Independence Day celebration kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with a 5K and a parade at 10 a.m. Fireworks start at Cherokee High School (120 Tomlinson Mill Rd., Marlton) around dusk.

Margate City: Margate City Fireworks on Huntingdon Avenue Beach will start at dusk.

Monroe Township: Fireworks at Williamstown High School (700 N. Tuckahoe Rd., Williamstown).

Ocean City: Ocean City Fireworks on Ninth Street Beach, Ocean City Boardwalk, are to begin at 9 p.m.

Sea Isle City: Sea Isle City Fireworks at 50th Street Beach begin at 9 p.m.

Upper Township: Music and fireworks at Amanda's Field (10 Sunset Dr., Petersburg). Festivities begin at 4 p.m., fireworks start at dusk.

Washington Township: Fireworks at Washington Township High School (529 Hurffville Crosskeys Rd., Sewell) at 9 p.m. A parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Washington Township High School 11–12 parking lot.

Wildwood: Wildwood Fireworks on Pine Street Beach, Wildwood Boardwalk. Festivities begin at 9 a.m. with a parade from Ninth and Atlantic Avenues — including a "pooch parade."

DELAWARE

Fourth of July

Dover: A celebration of Independence in the Capital of the First State with parade and fireworks starting at dusk.

Newark: Fourth of July Fireworks at the University of Delaware athletic complex, Newark. Festivities start at 6 p.m.

Rehoboth Beach: Fireworks will start at 9:15 p.m. July 2 to the Fourth along Rehoboth Beach Main Street, Rehoboth Beach. Tickets for July 2 and 3 fireworks cruises are also available.
