Today M. Night Shyamalan announced via Twitter that he's making a sequel to Unbreakable and Split -- combining the mythologies in his next new movie called Glass. Shyamalan said the film will be released January 18, 2018.
Unbreakable star Bruce Willis will reprise his role as David Dunn from the 2000 thriller, as will Samuel L. Jackson, who played the wheelchair-bound Elijah Price (aka Mr. Glass). James McAvoy and Anya Taylor Joy, stars of Split, will also return, according to Shyamalan.
The low-budget Split was a commercial and critical success, making nearly $140 million. Unbreakable made $95 million in 2000. Both films were shot in and around Philadelphia.
