Adonis Creed will square off against the son of Rocky IV villain Ivan Drago when Creed II hits theaters later this year, and judging by the film's new trailer, our hero has plenty of training to do to get into fighting shape.

Released Wednesday, the new Creed II trailer shows star Michael B. Jordan as Adonis as he prepares to face Drago's (Dolph Lundgren) son in the ring. The fight is a sort of revenge for Adonis, whose father, Apollo Creed, was killed by the elder Drago in a boxing match during 1985's Rocky IV. Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), meanwhile, returns as Adonis' mentor and trainer. Florian Munteanu, a professional boxer, is a newcomer to the cast as Drago's son, Viktor.

The eighth Rocky franchise film, Creed II acts as a followup to 2015's Creed, which was director by Ryan Coogler. Creed II, however, features directing work from Steven Caple Jr., who most recently directed two episode's of Freeform's Black-ish spinoff, Grown-ish. In addition to Jordan, Lundgren, and Stallone, Creed star Tessa Thompson will also return.

Creed II is scheduled for release on Nov. 21.
