Play on In Itamar Moses' comic romp Bach at Leipzig, the world's greatest organist (as of 1722) drops dead and applicants flock to the magnificent Thomaskirche to compete for his job using the usual methods - trickery, bribery, and blackmail - trying to make an impression before the arrival of a certain guy named Johann Sebastian. The show goes on at 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday at the People's Light and Theatre Company, 39 Conestoga Rd., Malvern, and continues on a Tuesday-through-Sunday schedule to Aug. 10. Tickets are $26 to $46. Fifteen minutes more The estimable Bearded Ladies Cabaret teams with Opera Philadelphia to present an in-progress version of Andy: A Popera, a new work using music by Heath Allen and 1960s pop to look at the life of Mr. Warhol. Big dance For the five-day Come Together Festival, the Koresh Dance Company hosts two dozen local and regional dance companies including Brian Sanders Junk, Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers, Project Moshen, Opus 1 Contemporary Dance Company, Rennie Harris Puremovement, and Ballet Fleming. The programs go on at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, Broad and Lombard Streets, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 7 p.m. next Sunday. That guy You've seen actor and comedian Leslie Jordan on TV, from his Emmy-winning role as a sharp-tongued socialite on Will & Grace to guest shots on shows ranging from Star Trek: Voyager to Ugly Betty. Play ball On July 15, 1876, Reading native (and future Philadelphia police officer) George "Grin" Bradley tossed the first no-hitter in major-league history, giving his St. Louis Brown Stockings a 2-0 win over the Hartford Dark Blues. The inaugural Berks Vintage Base Ball Festival marks the event with teams playing by 1860s, 1870s, and 1880s rules in three round-robin tourneys. Among the teams taking part are the Keystone Base Ball Club, Athletic Base Ball Club of Philadelphia, Elkton Eclipse, and Brandywine BBC from 1864; Flemington Neshanock, New York Mutuals, and Diamond State Base Ball Club of Delaware from 1873; and the Whately Pioneers, Reading Actives, and Excelsior Base Ball Club of Milford from 1884. There also will be an appearance by former Boston Red Sox star hurler Bill "Spaceman" Lee, who will join a local nine for a stint. The games go on at the Berks County Youth Recreation Facility's Rocky Colavito Field, West Leesport Avenue and County Welfare Road, Leesport, Pa., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.
