Fox's Star is calling up a couple of more stars.

Philadelphia's Patti LaBelle and Kobe Bryant's Lower Merion High prom date, Brandy Norwood (Moesha), each will appear next spring in multi-episode arcs of the music-fueled drama, the network announced Thursday.

Star, created by West Philadelphia's Lee Daniels and Drexel Hill's Tom Donaghy, stars Queen Latifah as Carlotta Brown, a mother figure to the members of a rising girl group whose members are played by Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, and Brittany O'Grady.

LaBelle will play Carlotta's "tough but loving mother, Christine," while Norwood plays Carlotta's sister, Cassie.

We're guessing Christine can sing — but can she cook like LaBelle? The pie queen's Cooking Channel series, Patti LaBelle's Place, returns for a new season at 11 a.m. Nov. 26.
