John's Roast Pork expanding

Food to be served after-hours at a nearby bar.

John's Roast Pork stinks.

And by stinks, I mean the hours. Certainly not the food, whose cheesesteaks and roast pork are some of the city's most honored.

John Bucci, having beaten cancer, simply cannot work the godawful days that others in the business do, and John's is a small, mom-and-son operation anyway.

The Pennsport pied piper of pork tells me that he has struck an arrangement with one of his oldest customers, the Adams family, which owns Mick Daniel's Saloon at Second Street and Snyder Avenue, two blocks away.

Starting March 17, you'll be able to get John's Roast Pork's pork, meatballs, hot Italian sausage, and veal scallopine there after John's closes for the day.
