At Six Feet Under, the subterranean bar that opened last month near Washington Square, patrons descend into a dim, brick-walled oasis where breakfast is served all day and the chocolate-chip cookies are always hot out of the oven.

In addition to burgers, nachos, and other standard gastropub fare, Six Feet Under offers a variety of snacks perfect for happy hour, including vegetarian options like buffalo-fried cauliflower, which is seasoned like wings and served with blue cheese sauce, and spinach and artichoke balls, which taste like deep-fried artichoke dip.

The dessert menu features a big chocolate-chip cookie for two, cooked to order in a blazing-hot skillet that crisps the dough up around the sides and turns the center into a molten, gooey treat. The golden-brown cookie is topped with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of Godiva white chocolate sauce. As the ice cream melts, it seeps into the nooks and crannies of the cookie, evoking the taste of an especially indulgent ice cream sandwich.
