All store products are moving to the company's E. Passyunk and Graduate Hospital locations - but Fishtown customers can look forward to a delivery service this fall.

Green Aisle Grocery, the specialty shop that sells cookbooks and artisan products from local farms and producers, is closing the doors at its Fishtown location on Friday, but customers in the area won't be abandoned. Green Aisle will be launching a weekly delivery service this fall for residents of Fishtown, Kensington, and Northern Liberties, said co-owner Adam Erace.

"We're closing the store in the physical sense, but we'll still have a presence there," he said. "We loved the location, and we met so many great people there."

After two years at its Girard Avenue location, the lease was coming to an end. Erace, who owns the company with his brother Andrew, said sales in Fishtown never quite caught up to the success of the Green Aisle stores on East Passyunk and Grays Ferry Avenues in the Graduate Hospital section, so they decided it was better to refocus their efforts.

Customers interested in learning more about the delivery program can contact the store at greenaisle@gmail.com.
