Monday's Child: Nasmeir, 16, likes music and basketball

Listening to music is one of Nasmeir's favorite pastimes, so the 16-year-old was delighted to be an honorary disc jockey at a radio station and get to pick songs to play. He also had fun dancing to them.

Nasmeir loves basketball and is very good at the game. He enjoys teaching others - adults as well as children - how to shoot a basketball. He will patiently coach a person until that person can make a shot from anywhere on the court. It's not surprising that Nasmeir dreams of playing in the NBA some day.

Kind and warm-hearted, Nasmeir cares about other people and gets along well with everyone he meets. A joy to be with, his bright smile can light up a room. Nasmeir especially likes to be around those who share his love of being active. He is bilingual and can carry on a spirited conversation in English and in Spanish.

Nasmeir yearns to be adopted. It could be any kind of family as long as they love and take care of him. He would thrive in a home with a patient, loving family committed to caring for his special needs. He is eligible for financial assistance.

Nasmeir and other children are available for adoption. For information, contact Anna Coleman at the National Adoption Center.
