'He's so bossy' - and other phrases you'll never use to describe a guy

I was on the train this week eavesdropping on the cell phone conversation of the man wedged next to me when I heard him say: "She's a pistol-and-a-half."

My first thought was: This must be the oldest young person alive. The second: That's a word you'll never hear anyone use for a guy. After a consult with my colleague Michael Boren, we decided to ask around.

What words aren't specific to men and women but are always used to solely describe men or women? From a quick Facebook post, here are some goodies:

Women (never men) are described as well-preserved, bossy, emotional, perky, shrill, feisty, stuck up, and smart cookies. For men, the words and phrases are decidedly fewer: He's a standup guy, or he's the alpha male.
