Starting on June 4, Alaska Airlines will reduce the carry-on luggage size limit on its planes to 22-by-14-by-9 inches — a 2-by-3-by-1-inch trim.

The new size aligns with that set by other major airlines, including American, Delta, and United. The Alaska Airlines family includes Horizon, SkyWest, and, as of last week, Virgin America.

Southwest Airlines continues to allow roomier carry-ons measuring 24-by-16-by-10.
