Body found in Delaware River

The body will be evaluated by the medical examiner, police said.

The decomposed body of a man was pulled from the Delaware River at 4:08 p.m. Sunday, Philadelphia police said.

New Jersey State Police retrieved the body near Pier 24, on the 200 block of South Christopher Columbus Boulevard, and gave it to the Philadelphia Police Marine Unit, police said. The body was to be taken to the Medical Examiner's Office, police said.
