Multiple cars caught fire in the Francisville section of the city Monday morning after a downed power line fell across a car.

The cars were parked on the 1700 block of Francis Street.

A PECO spokesperson said about 700 residents in the area lost power, which was restored Monday morning. Crews remained on scene as of 11:30 a.m. and were working to determine what caused the line to fall.
