One man was killed and two others were wounded in a triple shooting Wednesday night in the city's Grays Ferry section, police said.

Just after 8:40 p.m. at the corner of South Stanley and Tasker Streets, a 21-year-old man was shot in the left side of his chest and another 21-year-old man was shot in the back, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. A 30-year-old man was shot in the foot. Police took the three men to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. The man shot in the chest was pronounced dead at 10:40 p.m. The other victims were listed in stable condition.

Police found numerous spent shell casings from two different caliber firearms, Small said. Three cars were also struck by gunfire.

No description of the assailants was available, Small said.
