A Burlington City man has been charged with murder for fatally shooting a juvenile and wounding two others in Cherry Hill in 2016.

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo announced Friday that a grand jury had returned a five-count indictment against Kevin Fentress, 22, including a charge of first-degree murder.

Authorities allege that Fentress shot multiple times into a vehicle that was leaving the Inn of the Dove, 725 Cuthbert Blvd., shortly before 2:30 a.m.on Feb. 28, 2016, after altercation in a hotel room. Jadyre Gordon, 17, of Camden, was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he died of his injuries. The two other victims were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and were treated and released.

Fentress was taken into custody in Marietta, Ga., in May 2016. After being extradited to New Jersey, he was taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility, where he has been held without bail.
