A woman was killed when she was stabbed in her neck and assaulted with a hammer in a Crescentville home, Philadelphia police said.
The 57-year-old woman was attacked inside her home on the 5500 block of North Hill Creek Drive shortly after 7 a.m. Wednesday
Police on Thursday identified her as Rosalind Wicks, who was found lying in the kitchen of her home, bleeding heavily. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:38 a.m. Police have said Wicks was stabbed four times in the neck and also attacked with a hammer.
They said the victim's daughter was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center for a head injury that was also inflicted by the offender during a struggle.
