Rutgers announces record $15 million gift for athletics
The center will be built on the university's Busch Campus in Piscataway and will consolidate academic support services and administration in one building, as well as house training facilities for men's and women's soccer and lacrosse.
Rutgers University announced Monday that a $15 million donation — the largest in the history of the school's athletics department — will fund the construction of the Gary and Barbara Rodkin Center for Academic Success.
The center will be built on the university's Busch Campus in Piscataway and will consolidate academic support services and administration in one building, as well as house training facilities for men's and women's soccer and lacrosse. The center will provide support for the university's approximately 700 student-athletes.
The Bodkins are Rutgers alumni and have supported various university programs.
