Ceiling collapses at Shore's long-closed Atlantic Club
No one was injured in the collapse.
The Atlantic Club in Atlantic City closed more than three years ago, so it should be no surprise that the building is in a bit of disrepair.
Early Wednesday morning, a portion of the ceiling at the entrance to the former casino broke off and fell into the driveway. Debris filled the area where limos once dropped off high-rollers.
No one was injured. The accident was not deemed serious enough to draw the attention of either the police or fire departments.
According to the Press of Atlantic City, Florida building owner TJM Properties, which paid $13.5 million for the property in May 2014, told licensing and inspections director Dale Finch the ceiling would be repaired.
